Job summary

Matchtech Group is recruiting a Senior Project Design Engineer for a leading aerospace business in Havant. You will lead the design and development of aerospace components and systems, creating and modifying 3D CAD models and drawings, and managing projects through the full lifecycle.

You will review technical documentation, present at design reviews, and liaise with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders while driving continuous improvement and supporting manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in aerospace, defence or regulated engineering environment.
• Strong product design and development background.
• Experience producing and reviewing engineering documentation.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and project management skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems, rotating equipment, FEA or CFD advantageous.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Project Design Engineer to join a leading aerospace engineering business in Havant. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the development of advanced hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems supporting major aerospace programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of aerospace components and systems.


• Create and modify 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.


• Manage projects through the full product lifecycle.


• Review technical documentation including drawings, ECOs and BOMs.


• Present at technical and design reviews.


• Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.


• Lead product investigations and continuous improvement activities.


• Support manufacturing and operational teams when required.

About You

• Degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent experience.


• Experience within aerospace, defence or another regulated engineering environment.


• Strong product design and development background.


• Competent with Creo, Pro/Engineer or similar 3D CAD software.


• Experience producing and reviewing engineering documentation.


• Strong communication, problem-solving and project management skills.


• Knowledge of hydraulic systems, rotating equipment, FEA or CFD is advantageous.
