Job summary

Zero Surplus is seeking a Technical Internal Sales Executive in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex. This office-based role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm, with a proactive sales focus and strong customer service responsibilities.

You will support the technical and sales teams by handling enquiries, preparing quotations, and identifying opportunities to upsell. A track record in sales or technical support and experience with CRM and MS Office are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sales, customer service or technical support is essential.
• Excellent communication and telephone skills are required.
• Solid familiarity with Microsoft Office and CRM systems is preferred.
• Experience in electrical/industrial products is a plus.
• Experience preparing technical quotations and specifications is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Answer customer enquiries by phone, email, and online channels.
• Prepare, issue and follow up quotations to maximise sales.
• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
• Build relationships with existing customers and develop new business opportunities.
• Qualify leads and identify project opportunities to support external sales colleagues.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and update CRM records.
• Work towards sales and margin targets.
• Provide technical advice and product recommendations.
