Job summary

Reed in Leatherhead is looking for an Internal Sales Executive to join our team. This permanent, full-time role offers £28,000–£33,000 depending on experience and works 37 hours per week.

You’ll handle warm inbound enquiries, advise on specialist products and prepare accurate quotations to convert opportunities into lasting customers. The ideal candidate has around 2 years of sales experience, a degree, and a proactive, organised mindset.

Qualifications

• Around 2 years' sales experience (technical or business-to-business sales an advantage).
• A degree or similar level qualification.
• Experience in an engineering or technical environment (desirable, not essential).
• A full UK driving licence and live within 45 minutes of Leatherhead.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive, organised and commercially aware mindset.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly to inbound enquiries and qualify customer needs.
• Use technical information to help customers and specifiers choose the right products.
• Develop a strong understanding of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and controls.
• Liaise with the technical department, manufacturers and internal teams.
• Prepare accurate, timely quotations and follow them up proactively.
• Spot opportunities for equipment sales, planned maintenance and upgrades.
• Support marketing activity, including trade shows and LinkedIn content.
• Keep HubSpot and other systems up to date with accurate records.
• Work towards agreed sales targets and review your pipeline regularly.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
