Job summary

Arch Steel, part of ArcelorMittal Building Solutions, seeks an Internal Sales Estimator to join the team in Trafford Park. This role is not a traditional outbound sales position; you will primarily respond to incoming customer enquiries, interpret drawings and requirements, calculate materials and manufacturing needs, and prepare accurate quotations.

You will liaise with supply chain and production to ensure material requirements are communicated, with occasional customer contact.

Qualifications

• Experience in sheet metal manufacturing/fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Estimating/quoting experience advantageous but not essential (CAD related).

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming customer enquiries.
• Calculate materials and manufacturing needs.
• Prepare and send accurate quotations.
• Liaise with supply chain and production to ensure material requirements are communicated.
• Occasional contact with existing customers.
