Job summary

QinetiQ Limited in Ashford, UK, is seeking a Technical Author to prepare a range of technical publications for the QTS product range and support Field Services with conformity and procedural documents. You'll produce illustrated parts catalogues, maintenance and operating manuals, plus training materials for both electrical and mechanical systems, working within the QTS Engineering Team.

The role requires aeronautical, mechanical or electronic engineering qualifications, experience in technical

Qualifications

Experience in technical publications, ideally in an engineering environment.
Understanding CAD systems and CAD model use in docs.
Structured work methods with customer-focused documentation.
Ability to deliver docs within tight timescales.
Creative, pragmatic and self-driven; able to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

Preparing illustrated parts catalogues, maintenance manuals, operating manuals and training materials.
Generating graphics, including photographs and CAD images, for publications.
Provide general documentation support to departments and projects.
Work with Field Services to create conformity and procedural documents.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of QTS products.
