Job summary

QinetiQ Group plc is seeking a Technical Author to prepare technical documentation across its product range and support the Field Services Team. You will produce illustrated parts catalogues, manuals and training materials for both electrical and mechanical systems from the Ashford site.

With a background in technical publications within an engineering environment, you will create graphics and CAD images, ensuring documentation is customer-focused and delivered on time.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical publications within an engineering environment.
• Ability to develop documentation with customer user focus and lateral thinking.
• Eligible for SC security clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

• Prepare illustrated parts catalogues, maintenance and operating manuals.
• Generate graphics, including CAD images for publications.
• Provide documentation support to Field Services and other departments.
• Maintain knowledge of QTS products and publish conformity documents.
• Deliver documents within tight timescales; work unsupervised.
