Job summary

GMP Recruitment are partnering with a well-established manufacturing business in Pershore to recruit an experienced Technical Author for a full-time, permanent role.

You will closely interact with machinery to translate complex engineering into clear manuals and qualification packages, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Office-based with a 08:00–16:30 schedule, salary up to £40,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a technical authoring role with a technical or automation background.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; excellent written English and communication skills.
• Organised, detail-oriented with an engineering mindset.
• Collaborative team player who can work with machinery documentation.

GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a highly successful and well-known manufacturing business located in Pershore. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Technical Author to join their team on a full time, permanent contract, to independently produce high-level documentation. You will work hands-on with the machinery to translate complex engineering into clear, accurate manuals and qualification packages.

This position is office based, working Monday – Friday 08:00am – 16:30pm offering a salary of up to £40,000 which will be pending relevant, previous experience.

• Producing full documentation packages (Manuals, IQ/OQ, SDS, HDS, DQ, and FDS).
• Working directly with physical machinery to ensure documentation accuracy.
• Contributing to the department to help streamline documentation processes.
• Ensuring all documentation meets required industry standards.

Technical Author required skills and experience:

• Minimum 3 years in a technical authoring role with a technical or automation background.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; excellent written English and communication skills.
• Organised, attentive to detail, and a desire to pursue a career in engineering.
• Taking care of the company and customers as though they were your own.
• Pursuing new ideas and listening to creative suggestions.
