Wayve in London is seeking a Tech Lead Manager to steer a high‑performing ML engineering team focused on synthetic data for autonomous driving research. You will set direction for post‑training world models, drive end‑to‑end data generation, evaluation and training, and ensure reproducible lineage from models to training data.

You will lead cross‑functional teams across gen modelling, generation infrastructure and training, balancing hands‑on coding with people leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ML engineering or applied research experience across training and shipping neural networks.
• 2+ years in a leadership role with direct reports and cross‑functional ownership.
• Strong knowledge of generative modelling and application to video or high‑dimensional data.
• Hands-on experience with video generation, novel‑view synthesis or neural rendering.
• Experience with multi‑camera rigs, intrinsic/extrinsic calibration and 3D geometry.

Responsabilités

• Architect the future of post‑training world models for synthetic data generation.
• Own the end‑to‑end loop from generation to training data land with reproducible lineage.
• Lead from the front on key components and experiments when needed.
• Improve throughput, sampling efficiency and self‑serve workflows for synthetic data.
• Champion bold ideas and navigate uncertainty to move beyond incremental gains.
• Lead a cross‑functional team, plan quarterly, and align goals with company priorities.
