Job summary

Capital One Group is seeking a Junior Finance Cost Business Partner in Nottingham. You will support monthly cost reporting for the UK Tech Cost team, developing relationships with stakeholders and owning budgeting/outlook processes.

You’ll work under guidance to drive financially sound decisions and improve processes across FP&A. The role emphasizes partnering with senior managers, delivering timely month-end outputs, and exploring automation opportunities while developing your accounting

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to build repeatable solutions for BAU processes.
• Advanced Google Sheets/Excel skills and data manipulation abilities.
• Willingness to develop coding skills with AI support in day-to-day FP&A work.
• Ability to build relationships with junior and senior stakeholders and communicate financial context.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize and simplify financial data and reporting for monthly BAU processes.
• Partner with stakeholders to produce monthly outlooks and annual budgets, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Own reporting, outlooks, and journals; ensure accuracy and timeliness of month-end activity.
• Identify efficiency gains and automate processes to streamline workflows.
• Collaborate across Finance teams on high-impact, cross-departmental initiatives.
