Capital One in Nottingham is recruiting a Senior Finance Associate for Finance Transformation on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role combines financial strategy with project delivery in a hybrid setup: three days in the office and two days remote.

You’ll lead finance projects, manage testing cycles, and drive data-driven insights while collaborating across UK and enterprise teams. This role requires strong finance knowledge and project experience, with potential for a permanent transition.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in traditional finance processes (forecasting, variance analysis) combined with a strong project management or systems implementation background.
• Experience with general finance concepts, tools and financial systems; ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Strategic judgment to navigate stakeholder situations and assess the impact on partner groups.
• Autonomous execution with proactive problem-solving and independent action.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance-based projects as the primary owner, managing governance and RAIDD items.
• Drive project testing cycles, including UAT and Close Simulation to meet deadlines.
• Identify system blockers early, develop workarounds, and communicate impact to stakeholders.
• Partner with UK and enterprise teams to resolve issues and represent UK Finance interests.
• Communicate complex project statuses clearly to stakeholders with transparency.
• Generate data-driven insights from qualitative and quantitative data, ensuring data integrity.
• Provide general finance support and remediation as priorities shift during the transition.
