Job summary

Henderson Group is seeking a Team Leader for SPAR Rosepark in Dundonald. You will help lead the store team to deliver a top‑notch shopping experience and support the Store Manager in achieving goals.

The role requires flexibility to cover mornings, evenings and weekends across 6:00am–11:00pm, with a 42.5‑hour week. You will be in-store as a positive role model aligned with Ambition and Customer First.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old and legally allowed to work in NI.
• At least 6 months of supervisory store experience leading a team.
• Strong listening and communication skills with customers and staff.
• Target driven with focus on achieving store priorities and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team alongside Assistant/Store Manager to follow policies and standards.
• Take responsibility for store operations in absence of other leaders (including keyholder duties).
• Be a positive role model upholding Ambition, Customer First, Teamwork and Integrity.
• Train, manage workload and stay hands-on to ensure resources are in the right place at the right time.
• Support the Store Manager to maximise store performance and implement the store plan.
• Promote initiatives to support the local community with the store team.
• May be required to cover the Post Office when needed.

A look into the role

Reporting to the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager you will help to lead the store team to provide a shopping experience that exceeds our customers’ expectations and makes a difference in the local community.

As Team Leader you will:

• Alongside the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager - leading the store team to follow store policies, standards and practices.
• Taking responsibility for the store in the absence of other leaders (includes keyholder responsibility).
• Be a positive role model to the team and represent our values of Ambition, Customer First, Teamwork and Integrity.
• Train, manage the workload and support your team, whilst being hands on in store - ensuring you work together to achieve the right resources in the right place at the right time to deliver the best customer experience.
• Support the Store Manager to maximise store performance which includes understanding and implementing the store plan and priorities.
• Alongside the store team, actively promote and get involved in initiatives to support the local community.
• You may be required to cover the Post Office when required as part of this role.

Skills for Success

Joining us as Team Leader, the minimum criteria you’ll need is:

• You must be aged 18 years or over (for store legislative requirements) along with previous store retail experience, of which at least 6 months have been at a supervisory level leading a team of people in a customer-focused environment.
• A natural ability to listen, interact and communicate with customers and team members
• Target driven to help to store achieve their business plans/priorities and be focused on continuous improvement.
• Be able to inspire everyone to do their best for each other and the customer.
