Job summary

Cheshire College South & West is seeking a capable Team Leader to manage a team of Personal Development Tutors at Crewe Campus. The role combines line management with delivering high-quality tutorials, safeguarding support, and wrap-around learner care to secure positive learner outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 4 qualification or equivalent, suitable DBS clearance and experience leading a team to achieve departmental targets within a college setting.

Qualifications

• Level 4 qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject.
• GCSE Maths and English (C/4 or above) or equivalent.
• PGCE/Cert Ed/Level 3 Education and Training (or working towards).
• Enhanced DBS check is required.

Responsibilities

• Line manage and support Personal Development Tutors within campus.
• Monitor attendance and ensure robust adherence and support learner attendance.
• Carry a small caseload and support group tutorials and 1:1s.
• Provide pastoral, welfare and initial safeguarding support for learners.
• Act as a referral point and make appropriate referrals.
• Collaborate with curriculum and other departments to oversee attendance, progression and quality assurance.
