Job summary
Cheshire College South and West is seeking a Team Leader to manage Personal Development Tutors at the Crewe Campus. The role focuses on delivering a high‑quality tutorial programme, 1:1 reviews, attendance monitoring and safeguarding support for learners.
You will lead a skilled team, drive continuous improvement, and work with curriculum areas to ensure positive outcomes and progression for students.
Qualifications
- Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject (or equivalent).
- GCSE Grade C/4-5 in Maths and English (or equivalent).
- PGCE/ Cert Ed/ Level 3 Education and Training (or equivalent) or actively working towards one of the qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Line manage and support a team of Personal Development Tutors within the campus area in the delivery of a high quality, engaging, relevant tutorial programme and effective 1:1 reviews.
- Overview and ensure attendance are robustly challenged and monitoring arrangements are in place to support learners to attend.
- Carry a small caseload of learners and support them in group tutorials and 1:1s.
- Provide pastoral, welfare and initial safeguarding support for learners and wrap around care.
- Act as a point of contact for referrals and make appropriate referrals.
- Work closely with curriculum and other departments to oversee support and quality assurance for attendance, progress and progression.
