Job summary

Cheshire College South and West is seeking a Personal Development Tutor for Crewe Campus. The role covers group tutorials, inductions, and pastoral support for 16–18 learners. Expect 37 hours per week, part year (38 weeks), permanent contract with a generous benefits package.

The successful candidate will deliver tutorials on Employability, British Values, Equality and Diversity, and PREVENT, while monitoring attendance and progress to help students thrive.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification required.
• GCSEs C (4/5) in English and Maths or equivalent.
• Excellent personal tutor, advisor or mentor skills.
• Excellent knowledge of tutorial themes.
• Ability to deliver group tutorial sessions, including sensitive topics.
• Experience delivering to groups of young people (16–18).
• Knowledge of target setting and review methods.
• Enhanced DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver group tutorial sessions and activities covering Employability, British Values, Equality and Diversity, and PREVENT.
• Conduct personal inductions and foster belonging and resilience.
• Refer students to specialist services when concerns arise.
• Support learner participation in enrichment and learner voice activities.
• Support students with academic/personal progress and review targets.
• Monitor attendance and address issues using dedicated systems.
