Job summary
Cheshire College - South & West Ellesmere Port Campus is seeking an inspirational Personal Development Tutor to deliver group tutorials on personal development themes and to support students’ belonging and resilience.
The role requires Level 3 qualification and GCSEs in English and Maths; you will mentor learners, monitor attendance and refer concerns to appropriate services, with a focus on progression and wellbeing.
Qualifications
- Level 3 qualification.
- GCSEs C (4/5) in English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Excellent tutor/advisor/mentor skills.
- Excellent knowledge of tutorial themes.
- Ability to deliver group tutorials, including sensitive topics.
- Experience with 16–18 year olds.
- Knowledge of target setting and review methods.
- Empathy and Enhanced DBS check.
Responsibilities
- Deliver group tutorials and activities covering personal development themes.
- Induct students to the College to foster belonging and resilience.
- Meet with managers to discuss pastoral concerns and refer to specialists.
- Support learner participation in enrichment and learner voice activities.
- Support students' progress and review against targets.
- Monitor attendance using dedicated systems and resolve issues.
