Team Leader - Mental Health Focus for Acorn Lodge - Surbiton

Salary: £30,000+

Full Time: The position is full-time and requires evening and weekend work as per the shift rota (sleep-ins available).

Are you interested in mental health and passionate about empowering others and promoting independence? The Carelodges are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join their team.

This role is crucial in providing exceptional care and support to service users with mental health diagnoses. As a Team Leader, you will guide and mentor a team of dedicated support workers, ensuring person-centered care is prioritized. You will work closely with the Registered Manager to implement care plans, facilitate meaningful activities, and foster a positive environment for our service users.

Experience
Essential Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working with individuals with mental health diagnoses.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards for residential care.
Qualifications:
  • QCF in Health & Social Care Level 3 Diploma (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards it.
  • Medication management training.
Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Compassionate, person-centered approach to care.
  • Commitment to promoting recovery and well-being.
Desirable Attributes
  • Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a care setting.
  • Knowledge of mental health conditions, legislation, and best practices.
  • Training in crisis intervention or de-escalation techniques.

  • Provide supervision, guidance, and support to care workers.
