Operations and Maintenance Engineer

Based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom (Remote work possible), Telent is a leading technology company specializing in mission-critical communications and infrastructure support. We are seeking an Operations & Maintenance Engineer to work on Highways England Contracts, performing maintenance and commissioning activities within designated motorway areas including M25, M4, M11, M1, A14, M40, and A1(M).

This role involves ensuring the operational integrity of telecommunications infrastructure, including copper and fiber optic cables, within motorway environments. You will work with a supportive team, using your initiative to solve field issues, and contribute to maintaining the nation's critical infrastructure connectivity 24/7.

Responsibilities:

• Attending to cable breaks and repairs on copper and fiber cables.
• Completing commissioning of equipment to standard, on time and within budget.
• Addressing equipment issues in Transmission Buildings and Roadside Cabinets.
• Performing general maintenance, testing, and commissioning of fiber and copper equipment.
• Completing all required documentation promptly.

Candidate Requirements:
