Job summary

Henderson Group in Newtownabbey is seeking a Team Leader to help run the store and guide the team to deliver an outstanding shopping experience for customers. You will work with the Assistant Manager and Store Manager to uphold store standards and values, while flexibly covering duties across opening hours.

The role is full-time (30–37.5 hours weekly) with early starts and weekend shifts, requiring a hands-on approach and readiness to support community initiatives and supermarket operations,

• Experience leading a store team and ensuring store policies are followed.
• Ability to act as a keyholder and cover for leaders when needed.

Reporting to the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager you will help to lead the store team to provide a shopping experience that exceeds our customers’ expectations and makes a difference in the local community.

• Alongside the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager - leading the store team to follow store policies, standards and practices.
• Taking responsibility for the store in the absence of other leaders (includes keyholder responsibility).
• Be a positive role model to the team and represent our values of Ambition, Customer First, Teamwork and Integrity.
• Train, manage the workload and support your team, whilst being hands on in store - ensuring you work together to achieve the right resources in the right place at the right time to deliver the best customer experience.
• Support the Store Manager to maximise store performance which includes understanding and implementing the store plan and priorities.
• Alongside the store team, actively promote and get involved in initiatives to support the local community.
• You may be required to cover the Post Office when required as part of this role.
