Job summary

Shaw healthcare in Poole is seeking a caring Team Leader to guide a residential and nursing care team at Figbury Lodge. You will lead with compassion, ensuring safe, high-quality care for residents and supporting staff across shifts.

The role requires experience in residential care for older people, and an NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it). Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.

Shift Pattern: 3x 07:45-20:15 shifts (includes alternative weekends)

About the Role

As a Residential Team Leader, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and supportive environment where residents receive outstanding care every day.

You'll lead by example, supporting and motivating your team while ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained throughout every shift.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading, motivating and supporting the care team to deliver exceptional person‑centred care

About You

We're looking for someone who combines compassion with confidence and enjoys supporting others to be their best.

Experience working within residential care for older people

An NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), or be working towards it

Previous experience leading or mentoring colleagues, or the confidence to step into a leadership role

Excellent communication and organisational skills
