Job summary

NewCold is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to oversee daily warehouse operations in Wakefield. You will lead the team, manage workloads, and support the Shift Operations Manager to drive performance and maintain high standards.

Key responsibilities include allocating tasks, processing inbound/outbound deliveries, ensuring documentation and system records, and monitoring productivity, quality and safety. A valid FLT licence and strong people skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Proven background in supervising or leading people.
• Solid understanding of warehouse processes and safety standards.
• Experience using warehouse management systems.
• FLT licence is required.
• Ability to work 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

Job description

We are seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to support the smooth and efficient running of daily warehouse operations. You will play a key role in leading the team, maintaining high operational standards, and supporting the Shift Operations Manager to drive performance and foster a positive working environment across the shift.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will allocate tasks and manage the team’s workload, ensuring accurate processing of inbound and outbound deliveries and maintaining all required documentation and system records. You will monitor productivity, quality, and safety standards, train and support the team, conduct shift briefings, and communicate operational updates. The position also involves resolving operational issues and discrepancies and working closely with planning, engineering, and management teams to ensure effective coordination across the operation.
The above responsibilities are not exhaustive and may be amended in line with operational requirements.

We’re looking for a user with strong warehouse experience and a proven background in supervising or leading people. You should have a solid understanding of warehouse processes, be confident using warehouse management systems, and communicate clearly and professionally. Strong people skills, an organised and proactive approach, and the ability to perform well in a fast‑paced environment are essential. An FLT licence is also required.

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off 06:00-18:00
