Job summary

NewCold Melbourne in Wakefield is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to drive daily warehouse operations, lead a small shift team, and collaborate with the Shift Operations Manager to optimise performance.

You will allocate tasks, monitor productivity, ensure accurate inbound/outbound processing, maintain records, and coach staff to uphold safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment. An FLT licence is required and strong communication is essential.

Job description

We are seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to support the smooth and efficient running of daily warehouse operations. You will play a key role in leading the team, maintaining high operational standards, and supporting the Shift Operations Manager to drive performance and foster a positive working environment across the shift.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will allocate tasks and manage the team’s workload, ensuring accurate processing of inbound and outbound deliveries and maintaining all required documentation and system records. You will monitor productivity, quality, and safety standards, train and support the team, conduct shift briefings, and communicate operational updates. The position also involves resolving operational issues and discrepancies and working closely with planning, engineering, and management teams to ensure effective coordination across the operation.
The above responsibilities are not exhaustive and may be amended in line with operational requirements.

We’re looking for a user with strong warehouse experience and a proven background in supervising or leading people. You should have a solid understanding of warehouse processes, be confident using warehouse management systems, and communicate clearly and professionally. Strong people skills, an organised and proactive approach, and the ability to perform well in a fast‑paced environment are essential. An FLT licence is also required.

Working Hours
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off 06:00-18:00
