Job summary

Leonard Cheshire is seeking a capable Team Leader to guide a care team at Chipstead Lake. The role focuses on delivering person-centred support to up to 22 adults, with rota planning and staff development responsibilities to ensure high-quality care.

You will lead by example, oversee training, and collaborate with families and health professionals. A supervisory background in care and NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a supervisory role within a care setting.
  • Good communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to work flexibly and take part in the on‑call rota.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team to deliver outstanding, person-centred care.
  • Organise rotas and ensure the right staffing levels at all times.
  • Support with training, development, and supervision of staff.
  • Work with customers to achieve goals and promote independence.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
  • Provide hands-on care and administer medication when needed.

£15.15 per hour | Part-time | Chipstead Lake

A home, not just a service

Chipstead Lake,in the peaceful village of Chipstead in Kent, is home for up to 22 disabled adults. Our home has extensive, accessible grounds and incredible views of the village’s large fishing lake. A local pub and a supermarket are very close by, and we’re only a short drive from the town of Sevenoaks. Our service feels like family – relaxed, supportive, and centred around the people who live here. Every day brings new moments to celebrate from small wins in independence to big laughs over mealtimes.

This position offers 24 hours per week, with flexibility to work across weekdays and weekends as part of a rota.

Hours are between 8am - 8pm, covering two shifts a week..
