Job summary

Leonard Cheshire in Stockport is seeking an enthusiastic Team Leader for Oakwood care home on occasional hours. You will lead a compassionate team to deliver person-centred care, organise rotas, supervise staff, and support training while working across weekdays and weekends to cover holidays and sickness.

The role involves hands-on care, liaising with families and professionals, and ensuring accurate records and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a supervisory role within a care setting.
  • NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • Good communication, organisational and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to work across weekdays and weekends on a rota.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team to deliver outstanding, person-centred care.
  • Organise rotas and ensure the right staffing levels at all times.
  • Support with training, development and supervision of staff.
  • Work with residents to achieve goals and promote independence.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
  • Provide hands-on care and administer medication when needed.
