About the Home:

The Moorlands is a 4-bed registered Children’s Home. We support Children and Young People from the ages of7-18 build incredible futures by assessing their needs over a 12-week period, developing their life skills, personal interests and provide them with further opportunities and placements into a more permanent home.

This home is based in Maer, Newcastle-under-Lyme and is within commuting distance from Stoke on Trent, Stafford, Whitchurch and surrounding towns and villages.

The Role:

We are looking for a caring, responsible, experienced Team Leader to join our fantastic team at The Moorlands.

As Team Leader, you will lead a team of Support Workers who care for our children and young people in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and healthy.

This is a great opportunity to progress your career in care, working as part of a team committed to helping children with varied and complex needs. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and you will be working in a setting where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where children and young people are listened to, respected, and involved in as many decisions as possible.

Our Team Leaders carry out an essential and varied role, leading a team to provide the individual, bespoke, support required by the children and young people in our care. You will design, implement, and monitor the care and education plans to meet the individual needs of our children and young people, ensuring that key life and independent skills are achieved in the enriching and positive environment we strive to create.
