Job summary

Sgscare is seeking a Team Leader for a Residential Children’s Home in the UK. The role requires leadership of a team, strong child development knowledge, trauma-informed practice, and safeguarding responsibilities.

You will plan, organise and communicate effectively, staying calm under pressure and handling shift work including sleep-ins. Candidates should hold Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or be working towards it) with at least 1 year in residential childcare; Level 5 Leadership is

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards) essential.
• Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification desirable.
• At least 1 year of experience in residential childcare, ideally with supervisory/management experience.

Responsibilities

• A committed and experienced Team Leader with a strong understanding of child development and trauma-informed practice.
• Excellent planning, organisation and communication skills.
• Sound understanding of safeguarding procedures and relevant legal frameworks.
• Resilience to stay calm and adaptable under pressure; full UK driving licence and shift flexibility, including weekends and sleep-ins.

Salary: £38,849.56 per annum Employment Type: Full time

Service: Children's Home

Service Users: Children and young people with complex needs, including Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
