Job summary

Harley House Supported Living in Clacton-on-Sea is seeking a committed Team Leader to oversee day and night shifts, supporting a team of care workers to deliver person-centred care. The role is hands-on, fast-paced and requires leadership by example, strong communication and the ability to manage rota planning and regulatory compliance.

You will empower individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs, promote independence and dignity, and collaborate with families and healthcare

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of Support Workers to deliver person-centred care.

  • Support daily living activities and community access for individuals.
  • Promote independence, dignity, and inclusion.
  • Monitor and contribute to documentation and reporting.
  • Assist with staff supervision, induction, and development.
  • Coordinate shifts and rota planning as required.
  • Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.

Full-Time Team Leader Position Available | Day and Night Shifts

Harley House Supported Living is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and compassionate Team Leader to join our team in Clacton-on-Sea.

This is a fast-paced and varied role where no two days are the same. The successful candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and confident in leading by example while maintaining the highest standards of support and care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support a team of Support Workers to deliver outstanding person-centred support.
  • Act as a positive role model, promoting best practice and professional standards.
  • Ensure care and support plans, risk assessments, and positive behaviour support strategies are implemented effectively.
  • Support the individual with daily living activities, community access, and meaningful engagement.
  • Promote independence, choice, dignity, and inclusion.
  • Safely support behaviours that may challenge.
  • Monitor, review, and contribute to support documentation and reporting.
  • Assist with staff supervision, mentoring, induction, and ongoing development.
  • Support rota management and shift coordination as required.
  • Work collaboratively with family members, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Have previous experience in a senior support worker or team leader role, or can demonstrate leadership potential.
