We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Engineer (East) & North Team Lead within the UK, part of the Edwards Customer Centre, covering the EMEA region. The role reports to the Regional Sales Manager UK.

The Role
- Position Edwards as a core supplier through effective management of direct accounts in the Scientific and Industrial sectors within the East UK.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships in your territory.
- Manage your schedule with frequent visits to customers and liaise with support teams.
- Identify new business opportunities with support from marketing tools and CRM platform.
- Develop and execute sales plans, targets, and forecasts; provide market analysis and customer visit reports.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maximize customer relationships and participate in ad-hoc projects.
- Ensure understanding of customer needs and provide appropriate equipment and services.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage a sales region and a small team to meet and exceed targets.
- Implement growth initiatives across all market segments.
- Assist with forecasting and financial targets.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and set development goals.
- Develop business plans to drive growth and revenue.
- Maximize customer-facing time and implement sales initiatives aligned with company strategies.
- Achieve revenue and profit goals, identify new customers, and report on performance.
- Maintain and update CRM data, including lead and opportunity management.
- Collaborate with sales operations and marketing teams to support customers.
- Manage customer payments and work with credit control.
- Coordinate with various departments to position Edwards as a premium supplier.
- Plan new product launches and provide sales forecasts.
- Report on competitive activities.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or Science with relevant sales experience (minimum 2 years).
- Knowledge of vacuum science and applications in Scientific Vacuum sectors.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong networking, influencing, and presentation skills.
- Proven sales success, with at least 3 years of direct selling and negotiation experience.
- Experience in territory management, area planning, and contractual negotiations.
- Leadership skills to support and mentor team members.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the territory and beyond.
