Job summary

Omnea is hiring a Team Lead Manager in London to lead a small engineering team while staying hands-on with code. You’ll guide technical direction, collaborate with product management and design, and drive AI-native development across modern stacks including TypeScript, React, and AWS serverless.

You’ll own architecture decisions and help the team scale. You’ll be customer-focused, shipping meaningful features, and mentoring engineers to grow.

Qualifications

• You are a highly technical full-stack engineer with end-to-end experience in web apps built in TypeScript, ideally on AWS serverless.
• You’ve led engineers as a Tech Lead, Team Lead, or TLM, owning delivery and technical direction for a team.
• You want to manage people, or grow into it, with prior line-management experience preferred.
• You still love to build and ship code, even in a leadership role.
• You raise the bar for well-architected, reliable software and coach others to get there.
• You’re motivated by customer impact and make good build vs. cut decisions in collaboration with product.
• You’re a strong partner who works well with product and design and can push back when it matters.
• You’re comfortable with ambiguity and can shape unclear problems into actionable plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a small engineering team, line-manage engineers, give feedback, and grow the team.
• Stay deeply technical: continue coding, review PRs, and unblock hard problems.
• Drive AI-native development with a focus on AI agents and related workflows.
• Interact with customers to understand problems and translate them into product value.
• Own architectural direction and design trade-offs for speed, quality, and maintainability.
• Define and shape the team's roadmap with PM and Designer on priority and sequencing.
• Hire, interview, and onboard engineers as the team scales.
