Job summary

Sofina Foods Europe is seeking an experienced Team Leader to head a high-performing production team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will drive daily production plans, lead with a coaching approach, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and GMP while fostering a culture of safety and employee development.

• Two years' experience leading a team within food manufacturing.
• Leaving Certificate or equivalent; supervision/people management qualification advantageous.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate and develop others.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in fluent English.
• Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to maintaining food safety, quality and health & safety standards.

Job description

Lead a high-performing production team where quality, safety and people come first.

Role Overview

Our new Team Leader will play a vital role in ensuring our Primal or Slicing department consistently delivers high-quality products while achieving production targets safely and efficiently. You'll lead your shift by motivating your team, maintaining exceptional standards, and creating a positive working environment where people can thrive.

Working closely with Production, Technical, Quality, Engineering, Logistics and HR, you'll help drive operational excellence through strong leadership, continuous improvement and a commitment to food safety and quality.

Key Duties

You will be responsible for leading your production team to deliver outstanding performance by:

• Leading your team to achieve daily production plans and key performance targets.
• Setting clear objectives, monitoring performance and providing regular coaching and feedback.
• Championing the highest standards of food safety, product quality, hygiene and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
• Promoting a culture where health and safety is a priority for everyone.
• Developing, mentoring and supporting colleagues to maximise capability and engagement.
• Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards across the production area.
• Building strong working relationships with Quality, Technical, Engineering, Logistics and HR teams.
• Ensuring equipment and work areas are maintained to support safe and efficient production.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, quality and operational performance.
• Supporting the effective use and ongoing development of production systems.

Ideal Candidate

You will be an experienced people leader who enjoys developing others and delivering results in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You'll also bring:

• A minimum Leaving Certificate (or equivalent), with a qualification in supervision, people management, science or a related discipline being advantageous.
• At least two years' experience leading a team within food manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate and develop others.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluent English.
• Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving abilities.
• A commitment to maintaining exceptional food safety, quality and health & safety standards.
• A proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
