Job summary

Sofina Foods is seeking a Production Team Leader to take ownership of a fast-paced High Risk production area. You will lead shifts, drive performance, quality and food safety, and develop teams to meet customer expectations and site objectives.

You will work with the management team to deliver efficiency, monitor KPIs, implement GMP practices, and manage employee relations in line with company procedures. This role demands proactive problem-solving and a hands-on approach in a manufacturing

Lead a high-performing production team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Role Overview

Take ownership of a production shift and play a key role in delivering operational excellence across our High Risk area. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Team Leader, Shift Manager or Manufacturing Supervisor to lead people, performance and continuous improvement during a period of growth. You’ll work closely with the wider management team to ensure customer expectations are consistently achieved while driving efficiency, quality, food safety and team development across the department.

Key Duties

• Lead and coordinate all High Risk production activities to deliver operational targets and customer requirements.
• Manage, develop and support production teams to achieve performance, quality and safety standards.
• Monitor and improve key operational KPIs, driving efficiency and productivity.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement using GMP tools and best practice methodologies.
• Deliver projects focused on cost management, waste reduction and operational performance.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene, technical compliance and quality standards are consistently maintained.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the site to support operational objectives and future growth.
• Manage employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance processes, in line with company procedures.

Ideal Candidate

• An experienced Production Manager, Shift Manager, Manufacturing Team Leader or Supervisor within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• A confident leader with the ability to motivate, engage and develop high-performing teams.
• Skilled at building strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Proactive and solutions-focused, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Accountable, organised and committed to achieving operational objectives.
