Job summary

Sofina Foods Europe is seeking a Line Leader in Haverhill to drive efficient, high-quality production by supporting day-to-day line operations and developing the team under the Area Manager.

You will focus on building capability, maintaining compliance standards, and achieving production targets safely. This role offers hands-on leadership experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Support, coach and develop a production team while driving quality and performance.

Role Overview

As a Line Leader, you'll play an important role in delivering efficient, high-quality production by supporting the day-to-day operation of the line. Working closely with the Area Manager, you'll help develop team capability, maintain compliance standards and ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop leadership skills within food manufacturing while gaining valuable experience in people development, operational performance and continuous improvement.

Key Duties

• Coordinate the daily running of the production line alongside the Area Manager
• Support line performance to achieve production targets, run speeds and quality standards
• Train and develop new starters and existing operatives to build a multi-skilled team
• Monitor team performance and contribute to individual training plans
• Identify production challenges and support corrective actions to minimise disruption
• Promote adherence to health and safety, food safety and technical standards
• Encourage quality-focused behaviours and ensure non-conforming products are identified
• Maintain high housekeeping and hygiene standards through a clean-as-you-go approach
• Complete production paperwork, checks and records accurately
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across the business
