Job summary

The Winsford Academy is seeking an outstanding Professional Mentor and Teaching Coach for Mathematics to lead instructional coaching, coach colleagues at all career stages and contribute to improved pupil outcomes. You will work with teachers and leaders to develop classroom practice and drive continuous improvement across Mathematics.

As part of the Mathematics department you will model teaching, support curriculum development and support pedagogy innovation, while guiding Early Career Teachers

• Experience in providing instructional coaching and professional development to teachers.

Working closely with teachers and leaders across the academy, you will provide high-quality instructional coaching, professional development, and mentoring, helping to develop outstanding classroom practice and a culture of continuous improvement. Alongside your coaching responsibilities, you will work within the Mathematics department to model excellent teaching and support curriculum development and pedagogical innovation.

Overall purpose of the post:

To work alongside the Faculty Lead and Senior leadership team to deliver the vision of Ambition and Excellence for All

Develop the practice of Early Career Teachers and trainee maths teachers through instructional coaching

Plan and lead maths CPD and training

Carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with Academy policies, under the direction of the Principal
