Job summary

The Stephen Longfellow Academy is seeking a Curriculum Leader of Mathematics to provide strong leadership that results in a Mathematics Department delivering first-class teaching and learning opportunities for students and staff. The role will instigate and develop innovative Maths approaches to stimulate all pupils to reach their full potential.

We are looking for a candidate with a good honours degree, Qualified Teacher Status, and a proven teaching record.

• Knowledge of current curriculum developments in subject and their implications.
• A successful teaching record with very good teaching practice demonstrated consistently.

• Provide strong leadership for the Mathematics Department to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
• Instigate and develop innovative approaches to Maths to stimulate all students.
• Ensure delivery of curricular and extra-curricular Maths provision of the highest standard.

The Stephen Longfellow Academy is seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Curriculum Leader of Mathematics. This role is of great importance to our work as an Academy - the successful applicant will be expected to provide strong leadership that results in a Mathematics Department which provides first class teaching and learning opportunities for both students and staff, instigates and develops innovative approaches to Maths that will stimulate all students to achieve their full potential and ensure the delivery of high-quality provision in curricular and extra-curricular activities.
