Job summary

TeachMatch is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a Worcestershire school. You will provide 1:1 support to pupils with additional needs and assist with classroom tasks under supervision.

The role emphasizes creating inclusive learning environments, managing behaviour, and supporting emotional development. DBS update service is preferred, with ongoing consultant support and potential long-term/permanent placement.

Qualifications

• Experience working in SEN or mainstream school environment.
• A patient, caring and resilient approach.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).

We are looking for enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistants to work within a specialist education setting in Worcestershire.

The role will involve providing 1:1 support to pupils with additional needs, helping them access learning, develop confidence and make positive progress both academically and personally.

Previous experience within SEN, alternative provision, youth work, care or another specialist setting would be beneficial, although candidates with transferable experience and the right attitude are also encouraged to apply.
