Job summary

Turnfurlong Infant School in Aylesbury is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning in a busy infant setting. You will work closely with a class teacher and year group leader to assist with classroom activities and learning across the curriculum.

The role includes teaching Read Write Inc phonics sessions, supporting small groups and individuals, supervising playtimes, preparing resources, and helping to maintain a safe, positive learning environment during term time.

Qualifications

  • GSCE English and Maths at grade C or equivalent required.
  • GCSEs in a range of subjects (or equivalent qualifications).
  • Experience in supporting teaching and learning is beneficial.

Job description

Teaching Assistant - Turnfurlong Infant School

Location: Aylesbury

Salary: Bucks Pay Range 2: 11-15, Actual salary £18,619-£21,272 (depending on experience)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Part time 32.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, term time only, 8.30 am-3.30 pm (½ hour lunch break)
