Luma Education Recruitment Ltd is hiring a caring Teaching Assistant to join a small specialist primary classroom in Openshaw, Manchester. You will support about 12 pupils with additional needs and assist the class teacher with daily activities and routines.

Working hours are 8:00am – 3:30pm, with opportunities to help pupils access the curriculum through adapted activities, foster positive behaviour, and build trusting relationships in an inclusive school environment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide individual and small-group support to pupils within the specialist classroom.
• Assist the class teacher with daily learning activities and classroom routines.
• Support children with additional learning and developmental needs.
• Help pupils access the curriculum through adapted activities and resources.
• Encourage positive behaviour, communication, independence and confidence.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Support pupils during lessons, break times and other school activities.
• Help create a calm, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor pupil engagement and provide feedback to the class teacher.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and other professionals.
• Support the smooth integration of new pupils joining the classroom from Early Years.

Teaching Assistant – Specialist Primary Classroom - Openshaw, Manchester

Luma Education Recruitment are currently recruiting for a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a small specialist classroom within a primary school setting.

The successful candidate will work within a supportive classroom environment with approximately 12 children, with numbers expected to increase by a further 3–4 pupils joining from Early Years.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with a strong background supporting children with additional needs who is looking for a rewarding role within a specialist education setting.

Working hours are 8:00am – 3:30pm.
