Salary: £37,000–£43,000 per annum (DOE)

Are you an experienced Primary Teacher looking for a rewarding permanent role where with great leadership and long-term career prospects?

Luma Education Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming specialist SEND school in Manchester to recruit a committed Primary Teacher. The school supports pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), providing a nurturing environment with small class sizes, excellent resources and a strong focus on helping every child achieve their potential.

The Role

As a Primary Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, SEMH, communication needs and moderate learning difficulties.

Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists and pastoral staff, you'll create a safe, structured and inclusive classroom where every pupil can thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs.
  • Create a calm, structured and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Build positive relationships that promote confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with a range of SEND.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents and the wider school team.
  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
  • Promote positive behaviour through consistent routines and supportive practice.
About You
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching within a primary setting.
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • The ability to build strong, positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
