Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Role Overview: GSL Education is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants for day-to-day, short-term, and long-term positions within school hours. These supply roles offer flexibility to fit your schedule. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

1. Support learning for children aged 1-11 (Nursery to Year 6).
2. Follow instructions from the class teacher.
3. Ensure safety of children in and out of the classroom.
4. Prepare classroom materials (cutting, sticking, photocopying, laminating).
5. Observe and report on children's learning progress.
6. Manage off-task behaviors effectively.

Requirements:

• Teaching Assistant Level 1, 2, or 3 qualifications are desirable but not essential.
• Excellent practitioner with a focus on children's well-being.
• High expectations for achievement and behavior.
• Strong communication and behavior management skills.
• Experience working with children or in a caring capacity.
• Transferrable skills: teamwork, initiative, flexibility, calmness under pressure, caring, helpfulness.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (can apply through GSL Education).
