Job Title:- Teaching Assistant
Job Description:-
GSL Education currently seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to fill day-to-day, short-term, and long-term positions within school hours. Responsibilities:-
•Work with groups of children aged between 1 and 11 (Nursery, Early Years to Year 6) to support their learning.
•Follow instructions and guidance provided by the class teacher.
•Ensure children's safety both in and out of the classroom.
•Prepare classroom materials, including cutting, sticking, photocopying, and laminating.
•Observe and provide feedback to the class teacher regarding children's learning.
•Effectively manage off-task behaviours.
Requirements:-
•Hold Teaching Assistant Level 1, 2, or 3 qualifications are desirable but not essential.
•Be an excellent and inspirational class practitioner, with children's well-being at the forefront of all actions.
•Have high expectations for pupils' achievement and behaviour.
•Possess excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
•Previous experience working with children or adults in a caring capacity.
•Demonstrate transferrable skills such as teamwork, initiative, flexibility, adaptability, remaining calm under pressure, caring, and helpfulness.
•Right to work in the UK.
•Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Can apply for one through GSL Education)
•All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK, or eligible to apply for a relevant work visa.
