Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role? We are seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive primary school in Brentwood.
Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Brentwood, Essex
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
About the Role:
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will provide dedicated support to a child with additional learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and reach their full potential. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies and create an inclusive, nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs
• Assist with learning activities, adapting materials where necessary
• Encourage confidence, independence, and engagement in lessons
• Support the emotional and social development of the child
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
Requirements:
• Experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting
• A passion for supporting children with additional needs
• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential
