Job Description:

Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Description: GSL Education is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants for day-to-day, short-term, and long-term positions within school hours. These supply roles offer flexibility to fit your schedule. If you possess the relevant skills, please apply now.

Responsibilities:

• Support children aged 1 to 11 (Nursery to Year 6) in their learning activities.
• Follow instructions from the class teacher.
• Ensure children's safety in and out of the classroom.
• Prepare classroom materials such as cutting, sticking, photocopying, and laminating.
• Observe and provide feedback on children's learning progress.
• Manage off-task behaviors effectively.

Requirements:

• Teaching Assistant Level 1, 2, or 3 qualifications are desirable but not essential.
• Excellent and inspiring practitioner with a focus on children's well-being.
• High expectations for pupils' achievement and behavior.
• Strong communication and behavior management skills.
• Experience working with children or in a caring capacity.
• Transferable skills such as teamwork, initiative, flexibility, calmness under pressure, caring, and helpfulness.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (can be applied for through GSL Education).
