Aspire People is recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants to work across a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools in Leicester from September. You'll support teachers and help pupils thrive in a positive, inclusive learning environment, with sessions aligned to school hours (8:30am-3:30pm).

You may work full-time or part-time during term-time, with flexible opportunities to suit your availability.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a UK primary school or nursery is essential.
  • Positive, proactive and caring attitude.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Availability to work school hours (8:30am-3:30pm).
  • Right to work in the UK and DBS checks required or willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across the primary age range.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive engagement.
  • Prepare classroom resources and assist with daily classroom activities.
  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
