Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to work across welcoming primary schools in Leicester from September.

Choose full-time or part-time roles that fit school hours (8:30am–3:30pm) during term time. You will support pupils with a range of needs, helping them reach their full potential in an inclusive learning environment. The position offers local opportunities with consultant support and ongoing CPD.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a UK primary school or nursery is essential.
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs is desirable.
  • Availability to work school hours (8:30am–3:30pm).
  • The right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one‑to‑one and small group support for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.
  • Support class teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Encourage pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
  • Help create a safe, positive and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, teachers and parents.

The Role

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one.
