An exciting opportunity has arisen at Cookley Sebright Primary School for an enthusiastic, dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and highly supportive team.
Cookley Sebright Primary School is a thriving one-form entry village primary school near Kidderminster, where our values of Enjoy, Discover and Achieve are at the heart of everything we do.
We are seeking a committed individual who is passionate about helping children reach their full potential and who shares our child-centred approach to education.
The role will initially be based within Year 6, therefore experience of, or familiarity with, the Upper Key Stage 2 curriculum would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced teaching and support staff to help pupils prepare successfully for the transition to secondary school.
As a school, we have a significant number of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). A substantial part of this role will involve supporting children with a range of additional needs, particularly those with learning difficulties and speech, language and communication needs. Previous experience of working with children with SEND would therefore be highly desirable, although full support and guidance will be provided.
This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of cautions, reprimands, or final warnings, as well as convictions. The County Council has a commitment to safeguarding service users in our care.
We are committed to equality of opportunity for all citizens and celebrates the diversity of all its residents.
