Job summary

Birdham CE Primary School in West Sussex is seeking a friendly Teaching Assistant & Midday Meals Supervisor to work across the school, supporting a class teacher in a KS1/KS2 setting. This 32-hour per week, term-time-only role is temporary for two years with the potential to become permanent.

We expect experience as a teaching assistant in a primary school, together with the ability to inspire children, stay organized, work well in a small team and support individuals with extra needs.

Qualifications

• Experience as a teaching assistant in a primary school is essential.
• Able to inspire children and maintain high learning expectations.
• Well organized and able to take the initiative.
• Keen to work effectively as part of a small team.
• Experienced in KS1 or KS2 classes.

Teaching Assistant & Midday Meals Supervisor– Working across the school

£26,427 to £26,847pro rata (TA) and £25, 614 pro rata (MDMS)

32 Hours Per Week (8:30-15:30) Term-Time Only

Temporary for 2 years with the potential to become permanent

The Governors are seeking a friendly, approachable and flexible person to work with supporting a class teacher in one of our classes. Therefore, experience as a teaching assistant in a primary school is absolutely essential. Although this is a temporary position for two years, it may become permanent.

• able to inspire children to learn and have high expectations for their learning

• well organized and can take the initiative

• keen to work effectively as part of a small team

• experienced in working in a KS1 or KS2 class
