Job summary

Trumpington Park Primary School is recruiting for a Level One Teaching Assistant starting in September/October 2026, with 32.5 hours per week and an additional 5 hours per week as Midday Supervisor. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm, term-time only, in a supportive Meridian Trust environment.

Salary scales apply with progression to support roles and benefits. The role involves one-to-one and small group teaching, adapting resources, and working closely with the SENDCo.

Qualifications

• GCSE English & Mathematics Grade C (4/5) or above or equivalent.
• Experience of supporting pupils with SEND and/or behavioural needs.
• Outstanding communication skills and can work well in a team.
• Adaptable, take on board new ideas and think on their feet.
• Understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group teaching to pupils.
• Adapt teaching resources and create engaging learning materials and displays.
• Collaborate with SENDCo and SEND team to support learning outcomes.
• Assume Midday Supervisor duties as part of the role.
• Support overall pupil welfare and contribute to a positive learning environment.
