Job summary

Trumpington Park Primary School within Meridian Trust is seeking a Level One Teaching Assistant to start in September/October 2026. The role involves one-to-one and small group teaching, and close collaboration with the SEND team to support learning progress.

The post is term-time only, 32.5 hours per week, with an additional 5-hour Midday Supervisor role. They offer development opportunities and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C (4/5) or above or equivalent.
• Experience of supporting pupils with SEND and/or behavioural needs.
• Outstanding communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group teaching to pupils.
• Support pupils' learning and progress in line with the curriculum.
• Adapt resources and create displays; prepare teaching materials.
• Work with the SENDCo and SEND team to support learners.
• Include Midday Supervisor duties as part of the role.
