Job summary

Worcestershire County Council is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support the Medical Education Team in Kidderminster. The role focuses on helping pupils with medical needs access learning and develop confidence in a safe environment.

The successful candidate will work in small groups, one-to-one, or via Teams where needed, assisting with English, mathematics, science and PSHE, and may involve home or school settings. Commitment to safeguarding is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent, experienced and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, medical needs or attendance barriers would be advantageous.
• Clear commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, inclusion and professional practice.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in small groups, one-to-one sessions, online learning and, where appropriate, in school or home settings.
• Prepare resources and monitor daily attendance.
• Provide first aid and supervise pupils during learning and transition times.
• Contribute to reviews and support pupils to engage positively with education.
