Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking a Teaching Assistant with a strong Maths background to join an Alternative Provision in Ealing. You will work with secondary-aged pupils, supporting Maths and numeracy, helping students stay engaged and progressing through the day.

The role is Temp to Perm with £110-£130 daily pay and PAYE terms. Ideal candidates will have experience aiding Maths-focused learning, a patient and proactive approach, and the ability to build positive relationships with young

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils.
  • Strong Maths, numeracy or related subject background.
  • Confident supporting pupils with their learning.

Responsibilities

  • Support Maths and numeracy learning across the classroom.
  • Work with secondary-aged pupils one-to-one and in small groups.
  • Help pupils stay focused, engaged and motivated.
  • Provide support with Maths work, numeracy and problem-solving.
  • Build positive, professional relationships with pupils.
  • Support positive behaviour and contribute to a calm and safe learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers and staff to support individual needs.
  • Assist with general classroom duties and activities.

Teaching Assistant - Maths Background

Location: Ealing, West London
Pay: £110-£130 per day, depending on experience and/or qualifications
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Temp to Perm

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant with a strong Maths background to join a supportive Alternative Provision in Ealing.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has experience working with secondary-aged pupils and is confident supporting students with their learning, particularly across Maths and numeracy.

You will work alongside teaching staff to support pupils in the classroom, help them stay engaged with their learning and provide encouragement and guidance throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teaching and learning across the classroom, with a particular focus on Maths and numeracy
  • Work with secondary-aged pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis
  • Help pupils stay focused, engaged and motivated with their learning
  • Provide support with Maths work, numeracy and problem-solving
  • Build positive and professional relationships with pupils
  • Support positive behaviour and contribute to a calm and safe learning environment
  • Work closely with teachers and other members of staff to support pupils' individual needs
  • Assist with general classroom duties and activities
About You
  • Previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils
  • A strong background in Maths, numeracy or a related subject
  • Confident supporting pupils with their learning
  • Patient, approachable and able to build positive relationships with young people??
