Job summary

The Supply Register is recruiting a Maths Specialist Teaching Assistant to work full-time at William Lovell Academy, with hours from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Immediate start on an ongoing supply basis and a competitive daily pay rate (£95–£110).

You will deliver targeted maths interventions, support maths lessons, and help students improve attainment and confidence in Mathematics. DBS Update Service is preferred or willingness to apply.

Qualifications

• Strong Maths knowledge and confidence supporting secondary-aged pupils.
• Experience working with young people in education, tutoring, coaching, or similar setting.
• DBS Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support within Maths lessons

• Support students on a 1:1 and small-group basis

About the Role

As a Maths Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide targeted support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The role will involve delivering small-group interventions, supporting pupils in lessons, and helping students overcome barriers to learning in Mathematics.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support within Maths lessons

• Support students on a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Help pupils build confidence and improve attainment in Mathematics
• Assist teaching staff with lesson preparation and resources
